Getting Shell Access to Linux Server Via Windows

  1. Download 'Putty' Software From Here

  2. Open the Putty Application



  3. Type the host name or the ip address.
    Eg.For my case the ip address of my ubuntu server is 192.168.0.108

    **NOTE:Make Sure SSH Radio Button is Clicked.SSH stands for Secure Shell.



  4. Click Open

  5. Now the shell window will appear.



  6. Enter Login ID and Password.

  7. That's it now you are connected to Linux Server.
